Police on Sunday, 2 Cheshvan 5774 compelled a Magen David Adom volunteer to remove his jacket prior to entering onto Har Habayis because the Magen David, which is part of the emergency medical service’s logo, is not permitted on the site.
Arutz-7 reports the MDA volunteer, Yonatan Tal phoned in the incident, which he wanted publicized.
Tal first refused police instructions to remove his jacked and insisted on understanding why. He was finally told that the Magen David is not permitted on the Mount. He garment was confiscated and only returned to him as he was leaving the holy site.
