Miki Goldwasser, the mother of captured IDF soldier Ehud Goldwasser, told reporters she believes her son and fellow soldier Eldad Regev are alive. She explained that to date, there is no proof indicating otherwise.
Telling a Moshav Vitkin crowd that she is aware one of the boys was seriously injured during the July 2006 attack, in which they were abducted, she rejected last week’s statement from German mediator Konrad that it appears the two are dead.
In a message to Israeli officials, Gerhard Konrad stated he does not believe Hizbullah is holding any live IDF soldiers, including Goldwasser and Regev.
