Popular rapper G Herbo ‘donated’ $5k to police in Mexico and it goes to show that trying to be sneaky doesn’t always pay off.

The upset musician took to his Twitter account to complain about his recent trip to Mexico [original story]. It became a lot more expensive than planned – a whole $5 000 more expensive.

G Herbo had marijuana packed with his other belongings and it was soon discovered by the officials. He had barely landed in Mexico before two ‘zips’ were found by the police.

The officials didn’t hesitate to ask for a ‘donation’, according to the rapper. He said they asked him how much money he had on him and then said he’s heading to prison.

Of course, there is no way that he would want to spend his time in a Mexican prison so G Herbo quickly coughed up $2 000.

While he emptied his wallet, his security crew had to do the same. The group also paid $2 000 to avoid spending time behind bars.

Another $1 000 was handed over as well, but it’s not clear at this time what it was for.

After the payments were made, the weed was confiscated as well and G Herbo was not impressed or happy. He complained about how he was going to get drunk on the trip after ‘they took the doink’.

While G Herbo ‘donated’ $5k to police in Mexico, there are many other rappers who had similar experiences.

Snoop Dogg has never been shy about his love for weed and got into trouble for it more than once. Getting busted is nothing new for this rapper and he seems to take it in his stride. He has even been heard saying that he smokes up to 81 joints in a day.

Well-known actor Woody Harrelson also had a brush with police when he was arrested for possession back in 1996. Fortunately for him, the case was later dismissed and he too avoided jailtime.

America’s sweetheart songbird, Whitney Houston, also got into trouble for enjoying a blunt. In 2000, the singer was detained at an airport in Hawaii when she was caught with more than 15g of weed in her handbag.

Paris Hilton, the social butterfly, was also detained after she got busted with marijuana on the French Mediterranean island Corsica. The weed was sniffed out by dogs and she had to explain herself. Paris managed to get herself out of trouble somehow though and was released 30 minutes after questioning.
