Charedi Teen Arrested For Vandalism After Spray Painting Palestinian Flag on Walls in Beit Shemesh


A 14-year-old Charedi boy, who lives in Jerusalem, was arrested on Tuesday after allegedly spray-painting a Palestinian flag on residential buildings in Beit Shemesh. The flags were accompanied by the words “Grave Dwellers Out!” The claim is that the buildings in Beit Shemesh were built on top of graves that were moved in order to accommodate the construction. Also accompanying the image was a statement that read “Non-Zionist Jew”

Police arrested the boy who is suspected of carrying out the vandalism. After interrogating the boy, he was released under strict conditions of conduct.

A spokesperson for the police said “After we received reports of vandalism a nd spray painting  on buildings in Beit Shemesh, we investigated and arrested a 14-year-old boy who is suspected of having committed the crimes. Due to his age, he was released after question under strict conditions.”

According to a report in Kikar HaShabbat news website, the boy has prior misdemeanors after he was arrested for spray painting and vandalizing buildings in Jerusalem.
