SECURITY/DEFENSE:

*IDF soldiers involved in counter-terror operations throughout Yehuda and Shomron arrested six suspects. The suspects were turned over to the ISA (Israel Security Agency – Shin Bet).

*Three soldiers were very lightly injured in Arab unrests in el-Fuar. The soldiers were treated in the area and did not require transport to a hospital.

*Rocks were hurled at police vehicles in Bueina in the north on Wednesday night. No injuries. At least one police vehicle was damaged.

POLITICS, DOMESTIC & MORE:

*PM Olmert signals he does not plan to step down from office.

*An elderly woman was moderately-to-seriously injured in a blaze on Haifa’s Chadad Street during the night.

*Hamas warns the political turmoil in Israel may result in increased violence in Gaza.

*Shula Zaken denies reports that she may give testimony against Olmert.

*Ben-Eliezer: Elections in the coming months.
