An employee at the Kedem Winery in Marlboro, NY has reportedly been charged with stealing approximetly $12,000 in cash from the company’s business office, MidHudsonNews reports.
Sharon Mackey, 42, of Marlboro was arrested after a report was filed earlier this month, and charged with third-degree burglary, criminal possession of stolen property and grand larceny in the third degree (all felonies).
Police say Mackey forced open the locked door of the business office and removed the money during business hours.

I thought the theif is not jewish. If the theif is indeed a jewish woman I agree that her name should not be published. She is not a threat to the public in which case the Halacha might be different.

Common Sense. If she was a goy she obviously wasnt in the winery. The company is owned by frum Jews (my father one of them)
So, before all those flesh eating/scandal seeking morons make accusations, maybe know what your talking about first.
Why does it make a difference if the woman is Jewish or not. Fact she is suspected of committing a crime, she is also a person gentile or Jew and should be treated with respect even if found guilty. I can not fathom how some Jews can be such racist and anti every religion but their own and still speculate why people disgust us.

What a funny thing to say. On last check the office is in the same building as the winery. In fact the entrance is thru the winery. Unless were talking about the offices in Milton where there is no processing anymore. At that facility there is alot more room for offices and warehouses. But dont worry, 12,000 dollars is a loss Kedem can overcome very quickly.
Here are the facts…
To Yachtzel – “On last check the office is in the same building as the winery”. Have you ever been to Kedem? That is incorrect. The main office is in a separate building. This is also the location from where the money was taken. Also, Kedem has not been in Milton for a long, long time. In fact, those buildings are being demolished as we speak. Even more, you made a very crass remark concerning the amount taken. Regardless of a company’s size, $12,000 is a considerable amount. Losing money of that amount may not be an issue for you but it is for most people… even Kedem.
Additionally… what does it matter if she is “Jewish” or not? A thief is a thief is a thief. There are as many theives among Jews as there are among Catholics, Protestants, Baptists or any other religion. Pathetic…
