Israel’s Health Ministry updated that over the course of Shabbos, 1,386 people were found to have contracted the Coronavirus. The positive results were among the more than 20,000 Corona tests carried out on Shabbos. The number of patients in serious condition stands at 387. Seven additionally people died due to the virus over Shabbos bringing Israel’s death count to 674 since the beginning of the plague.

Israel’s Health Minister Yuli Edelstein announced on Motzei Shabbos, that on Sunday, a proposal will be brought to the government, according to which, Minyanim in shuls will be allowed to have up to 20 people inside and 30 people outside, provided that there can be two meters of space between each person. The same will hold true for restaurants, provided that there can be two meters between each table.

The Pittsburgher Rebbe was taken to the hospital on Shabbos morning due to his situation deteriorating because of Corona. The Rebbe, who lives in Ashdod, was taken in his own personal car with paramedics from his Chassidus, to Laniado Hospital in Netanya. According to a report in Israeli media, he was suffering from shortness of breath due to complications with the virus. His Chassidim gathered to say Tehillim and pray for their Rebbe. At 11:30 p.m. on Motzei Shabbos, it was announced that his condition deteriorated even further and the general public has been asked to daven for Rav Mordechai Yissachar Bear Ben Rachel.

Palestinian media sources claimed that the IDF attacked various sites inside Gaza as a response to the balloon bombs that were launched at Israel today by terrorists in the Gaza Strip. Firefighters, as well as KK”L teams, were active in 19 different locations around the Gaza Strip putting out fires that were caused by the balloon bombs.

Thousand of people protested outside the Prime Minister’s residence in Jerusalem on Motzei Shabbos in addition to the dozens who protested outside of his Cesaeria home as part of the black flag protest. Police closed off the streets around the Prime Minister’s residence in Jerusalem. Seven protesters were arrested after they made their way to the President’s house in an illegal march from the protest on Balfour Street near the Prime Minister’s residence.

On Motzei Shabbos, a young man was killed after he was run over by a car at the  Te’enim Checkpoint. The man, a 25-year-old pedestrian, was treated at the scene by volunteers from United Hatzalah who performed CPR on him. United Hatzalah volunteer Udi Nashef who was one of the first responders at the scene said: “We arrived at the scene in a United Hatzalah ambulance and found the pedestrian suffering from a multi-system trauma as a result of being run over by a large vehicle. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead at the scene due to the severity of injuries that he sustained.”

On Shabbos morning, a 41-year-old motorcycle rider was killed when he slipped on Highway 899 near Mamlachiya on his way to Ramot Naftali. United Hatzalah volunteers and Magen David Adom ambulance teams responded to the emergency and attempted to perform CPR on the man. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead at the scene.

On Shabbos afternoon, a fire broke out at an old age home in Kibbutz Ein HaHoresh, and a man in his 70s was seriously injured as a result. He was transported to Tel HaShomer hospital in stable but serious condition. The incident is being investigated by the police.

A man in his 0s was stabbed on Hanevi’im Street in Rosh Ha’Ayin. He was treated at the scene for his injuries by United Hatzalah and Magen David Adom and then transported to Beilinson Hospital in serious condition.

On Friday night, a man in his forties was found lifeless floating on the water near the Sironit Beach in Netanya. He was pronounced dead at the scene. It is suspected that the man drowned and his body floated to the beach.
