A number of PA (Palestinian Authority) residents have petitioned the Supreme Court in an effort to prevent Jews from entering the Ma’aras HaMachpelah in Hebron.
In the petition filed Tuesday morning, 20 Tishrei 5774 they maintain the Islamic community and not the Jews are owners of the holy site and therefore, the Jews should not be permitted to enter.
The court has instructed the state to respond to the petition during the afternoon hours on Tuesday.

This story seems to be incorrect. The place under contention is the Machpelah House in Hebron, which is near the Ma’aras HaMachpelah.
