Seven ministers in Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu’s cabinet are calling for another vote to determine if additional prisoner releases should take place in line with the agreement made to restart diplomatic talks with the PA (Palestinian Authority). The ministers feel that after the two weekend terror attacks that claimed the lives of two IDF soldiers, no additional terrorists should be released.
The seven ministers signed a letter which they submitted to the prime minister on Monday, 19 Tishrei 5774, requesting to convene the cabinet as soon as possible to permit a discussion on the future release of terrorists.
Signed to the letter are Ministers Yisrael Katz, Naftali Bennett, Uri Ariel, Uri Orbach, Sofer Landver, Yair Shamir and Dr. Uzi Landau. Tens of MKs are also calling to halt additional terrorist releases scheduled to coincide with ongoing talks with the PA.
