HatzolAir Flies Injured Yeshiva Bochur From Colorado Back To NY [VIDEO & PHOTOS]

The incredible Chesed of Hatzolah Air soars once again as their dedicated flight crew flew a severely injured Yeshiva Bochur back from Colorado.

As YWN had reported last week, two boys were on a hike with their camp, when they slipped and fell. One suffered a fractured pelvis, while a second boy suffered even more serious injuries including a femur and spinal fracture. Both boys were airlifted to a trauma center, where the seriously injured boy underwent emergency surgery.

Upon learning that one of the boys would have to be flown home, Hatzolah Air immediately deployed with a specialized medical team and highly-trained flight crew to Centennial Airport in Colorado. Meanwhile, a flight coordinator from Air Hatzolah made arrangements with the hospital in Denver to have a ground ambulance transport him to the closest airport where Hatzolah Air would be landing shortly.

Like clockwork, the ambulance arrived just as the plane was touching down.

The boy was flown to Westchester Airport, where a Flatbush Hatzolah Ambulance and his family were waiting for him.

The family has nothing but words of praise and overwhelming thanks to the entire Hatzolah Air team for their outstanding Chesed.

This latest flight is just one of dozens of free missions Hatzolah Air has flown since the beginning of the summer.

Hatzolah Air President Eli Rowe tells YWN that due to the high volume of flight requests to Hatzolah Air, there are active plans to increase the Hatzolah fleet with additional aircraft being based in strategic locations in the US and abroad.

Additionally, Hatzolah Air is looking into the possibility of acquiring a helicopter to airlift people in the Catskills.

  1. על כל צרה שלא תבא

It is obvious that we need to be prepared with resources for all eventualities.

Yet, I remain perplexed by the frequent reports of such tragedies occurring as a result of completely voluntary excursions, all of which are luxuries at best, and certainly unnecessary. We are cautioned about מותרות, the extras that carry potential risks of becoming enveloped by sheer גשמיות. In Eretz Yisroel, where there have been an alarming number of such tragedies in every bein hazmanim, the Gedolim have frequently spoken publicly about the need to abstain from these activities. Their pleas seem to have no effect, neither in E”Y nor in America. It is tough to imagine a world that contains no sadness, at least until we merit Moshiach. But to invite tragedy seems to be an obvious thing not to do.

  2. “THE LITTLE YOU KNOW ” TRUER WORDS WERE NEVER SPOKEN, my grandma used to say if you don’t have something nice or constructive to say, then stay silent. Instead of looking at the absolutely amazing people that we are MI KAMCHA YISROEL,….. which other people does such AMAZING selfless stupendous chessed flying across the country to assist in any way , leaving ones family and comfort to aid another family SIMPLY BECAUSE WE ALL ARE ONE FAMILY! This was not a luxury or unsanctioned dangerous activity, but rather a very routine camp outing to a run of the mill average day trip, after being quarantined for months on end a little rest and rejuvenation isn’t a dangerous luxury but a necessity, I wish all involved refuos n yeshuos bkurov, and in the zchus of being DAN LKAF ZCHUS MAY WE MERIT THE ULTIMATE GEULA………LET US TRULY BE “PREPARED WITH RESOURCES FOR ALL EVENTUALITIES ” IN THIS INSTANCE THAT RESOURCE WOULD BE SHTIKAH!
