On Friday, erev Shabbos Chol Hamoed Sukkos 5774 at 23:00 the ISA (Israel Security Agency – Shin Bet) received the worrisome report of a missing IDF soldier. The information in the report stated the soldier was not in touch with his family since the morning hours. Choppers were ordered into the air as a situation room was established. The information obtained by agents led them to Beit Amin in the Kalkilye district. On Shabbos morning they learned of the tragedy, that Sergeant Tomer Hazan HY”D from Bat Yam, who served as a non-combatant on the Palmachim air force base became the latest victim of Arab terrorism. The victim worked in the “Tzachi Basarim” Restaurant in his home community alongside the terrorist who murdered him, Nidal Amar. The latter is a resident of Beit Amin.
Amar persuaded Hazan to travel with him to Shaare Tikvah under the guise of some deal that was going to take place. The soldier reluctantly agreed since they worked together and he knew Nidal. He murdered the soldier and hid his body in a well as was reported earlier. He planned to use the body to trade for the release of his brother, a Tanzim terrorist who has already spent 10 years behind bars and has 20 years remaining in his sentence.
When the soldier did not return home his parents notified police. In line with protocol regarding a missing soldier, the information was passed along to the ISA and the IDF. A short time later, ISA agents learned that a taxi driver drove Hazan and another man to Shaare Tikvah on Friday. Using their intelligence gathering abilities ISA agents closed in on the Amar home. They surrounded the home of the 42-year-old terrorist in Beit Amin, entering to search the premises. Nidal was taken into custody along with five family members.
During his interrogation, Nidal broke down and admitted to his actions and the murder. He led security officials to the site on Shabbos afternoon. An air force rescue unit retrieved the body of Hazan from the well.
Some details of the murder are not being released as the investigation continues. Officials report additional arrests are expected in the case. The IDF has shut down a checkpoint in the area of Beit Amin to close in the residents of that village and an adjoining one as they search for the other suspects.
It is reported that Hazan was murdered a short time after the taxi ride. A senior IDF officer adds the murder was an act carried out by a lone terrorist who is unaffiliated with known terror organizations. The suspect, Nidal Amar did not have a permit to reside or work inside Green Line Israel but was in the process of receiving one as he married an Israeli citizen, a resident of Jaljulia. ISA officials report they have probe the marriage claim and add the two are not registered as married despite Nidal’s claim to the contrary.
The levaya for Tomer Hazan began at 16:00 in the Holon Military Cemetery.

That’s what happens when the fools insist on being humanitarian and soft on arab murderers—they encourage them to continue in their bloody work. Alas, there’s no chance that they’ll learn their lesson.
and what is this supposed to mean that his brother got 30 years for murder if your foolish enough not to fry him at least give the scumbag a life sentence.
