I see this is an old post, but I was googling to see if there was any answer out there as to why my son has gone from a size 12 1/2 as a freshman in high school, to 11 1/2 freshman in college to this year at age 26 we had to buy him new ski boot because he shrunk more. he is a size 10 now. I see comments here saying maybe you measured wrong, etc. and that is not fair to say to someone asking a real question. you know your feet. I am wondering what causes this to happen. his doctor has no idea. curious, since this is such an old post, if your feet have shrunk any more in the years since you first posted this. my son went down 2 and a half sizes over the past 12 years. it is a real thing. But what on earth is the cause? still searching. I believe you, and you are not alone. it is a weird thing, and I can find no answers.
