Security video shows more than a dozen people ransacking Macy’s flagship store in Manhattan last week during unrest over the death of George Floyd.
The video released by police Tuesday shows two people smashing a glass door with a hammer and baseball bat on the night of June 1 at the Herald Square store. Others are seen prying open a revolving door before entering and grabbing purses and other goods.
One man appears to stuff merchandise into a garbage bag.
In all, police released security photos of 15 people. They said they made off with about $10,000 worth of merchandise.
Macy’s has said the damage to the store can be fairly easily repaired.
Retailers in New York City have been given permission to reopen, but only for curbside pickup of merchandise or delivery. Macy’s hasn’t announced plans yet for when customers can return to its flagship department store.

Ganavim.
BTW there are tons more videos circulating. BH Iam a JEW
Seems logical to me. IF a policeman in Minneapolis kills (probably at least manslaughter, perhaps 2nd degree murder) someone, it entitles people to raid department stores in Manhattan. They have a lot of connections in common. For example, they are both in the American League, and Minneapolis was the farm club of the New York Giants baseball team. Also both cities are on famous rivers. So there seems to be a connection. Quite logical, at least according to Marxist theory (referring to that other one, not Karl).
used to be that only the blacks would riot, loot and burn, but now I see many whites join in for the ‘fun’…..
Let investigators find these lowlife Looters and pull them out of they’re homes in cuffs and throw them into jail for a few years!!
They can chant “Black Lives Matter” in a Jumpsuit from the prison cell.
akuperma, so what should have been the logical response when a Minneapolis policeman, a black Somali who was hired only because of his ethnicity and for no other reason, shot and killed a white woman who, unlike George Floyd, had done nothing wrong at all, had no criminal history, and had given him absolutely no reason to see her as a threat? And when it took nearly a year to bring charges against him, as the city and the police department dragged their feet? If this response to Floyd’s death (which was probably NOT manslaughter, let alone murder) is justified, then kal vachomer ben beno shel kal vachomer the response to Damond’s death should have been 100 times this.
But since the Torah at the end of this week’s parsha reminds us that Dayo, therefore the response should have been just like this one and no greater. Demonstrations all over the world, riots, looting, burning, taking over police stations, and the vilification of all dark-skinned people. There should be videos of Somalis groveling at the feet of white Australians and begging to be their slaves. Where were all of these? Why did nobody tell us that this is how we should have responded?
