HaGaon HaRav Nosson Dov Netta Freund ZT”L, counted among the elderly tzaddikei Yerushalayim, was niftar on Thursday morning, 8 Tishrei 5774 at the age of 89. The rav was hospitalized on Rosh Hashanah.

When the rav arrived in Shaare Zedek Medical Center on Rosh Hashanah he was experiencing difficulty breathing and his condition was described as serious. Among those fulfilling the mitzvah of bikur cholim this week was Eida Chareidis Gavaad HaGaon HaRav Yitzchok Tuvia Weiss Shlita.

The niftar learned in Yeshivas Eitz Chaim along with Rav Shlomo Zalman Auerbach ZT”L and Rav Yisrael Yaakov Fisher ZT”L. The rav was Rosh Yeshivas Beis Yosef Tzvi Dushinsky.
