09:55 IL: Ambulances are responding to a building collapse at 62 Herzl Street in Tel Aviv, at the intersection of Wolfson Street.

According to preliminary reports from Ichud Hatzalah operating at the scene, there are 10-12 people trapped/injured; most appear to be in serious condition. Three people have been extricated from the collapse.

Initial reports point to a three story structure that is undergoing renovations. It is unclear if the building itself collapsed or just part of the roof.

10:00: Magen David Adom officials’ reports six people are trapped in the building collapse. It appears an apartment in the structure which is being renovated collapsed. At least one person is in critical condition.

The building is located in the southern area of Tel Aviv. the trapped victims seem to be construction workers who were working in the building.

10:02: Channel 2 News reports that the building is not occupied. The people inside at the time of the collapse were all construction workers. City engineers are on the scene and they are beginning to probe the structural integrity of the remaining portions of the building.

10:18: MDA reports one fatality and four victims with light injuries. Authorities believe at least one additional person remains trapped in the building.
