Pellet Guns Found Among Travelers Returning from Uman

umanAuthorities at Ben-Gurion International Airport report confiscating close to 1,000 air guns among passengers returning from Uman after Rosh Hashanah. The guns confiscated are reportedly exact replicas of Kalashnikov AK-47 rifles and pistols, capable of firing metallic and plastic pellets using pneumatic power.

These toy guns are very inexpensive in Uman travelers report, hence their popularity. Customs officials at the airport were alerted to this last year and this year they decided to get tough and pass more pieces of luggage through x-ray in search of the toy guns.

Officials feel that in addition to the potential for injury among children from the plastic or metallic pellets, the guns are too realistic in appearance and might be used for wrongdoing.

  1. bklynmom – it’s the younger boys who buy them to play with (I’m guessing as a girl you probably never played army/cops and robbers/cowboys and indians with your friends when you were young but boys will be boys as they say)

  2. To answer your question no most are not playing with full deck. But it was a great experience and so wax Woodstock. It’s a happening in a country that gas more Jewish blood on its Ganda then the nazis. And yet we go. Like linings or moths to the fire
