Security officials were summoned to Betar Illit on motzei Shabbos close to midnight after a suspicious item was found outside the home of a resident. Police found a package with wires protruding, leading to suspicion that it was an explosive device.

Bomb demolition technicians were summoned to inspect the item, which was reportedly a real bomb. The residents of the building were evacuated from their homes until police gave the all clear signal.

Police report it appears the bomb is the result of an ongoing dispute between neighbors.
