On Thursday afternoon, the Ramapo Police was called to reports of a two car accident on Grandview Avenue in Wesley Hills. The operator of one of the vehicles involved, exited the vehicle following the collision, and fled west on Grandview Ave.

He was located in the area of Parker Blvd a short time later by Chaverim Community Patrol and Ramapo Police. The driver, Franklin A Montaleza-Minchala, age 20, was arrested for leaving the scene of an accident and aggravated DWI.

The two occupants of the other vehicle were taken to Good Samaritan Hospital with minor injuries.

Montaleza-Minchala was arraigned in Wesley Hills Court. Judge Schnelwar set bail at $5,000. Bail was posted and Montaleza-Michala was released. He is due back in Wesley Hills Court on 08/27.
