An armored car was robbed of $500,000 during a brazen carjacking in Canarsie, Brooklyn on Thursday, police said.
One masked suspect pointed a gun at the driver of the armored car while parked outside a Rockaway Parkway store at about 11:20 a.m.
He ordered the driver to take him Linden Boulevard, where he ran off with the $500,000, police say.
The driver was not hurt.
The gunman, who did not fire any shots, was not caught.
The suspect is described as a male black in his 20s. short in height, wearing all black with a mask covering half of his face. He fled east on Linden Boulevard on foot. He was carrying a bag of a lot of money.
