The Democratic candidates for New York City mayor will square off in another debate as the campaign moves into its final three weeks.
Polls show a near dead-heat among the top three candidates: Public Advocate Bill de Blasio, City Council Speaker Christine Quinn and former comptroller Bill Thompson.
Ex-congressman Anthony Weiner, a former front runner whose support collapsed after his latest scandal, is in fourth.
He is trailed by Comptroller John Liu.
Two lesser-known candidates, ex-councilman Sal Albanese and minister Erick Salgado, are also participating in Wednesday night’s televised debate.
A debate last week was marked by testy exchanges between Quinn and both Weiner and de Blasio over her role in securing Mayor Michael Bloomberg a third term.
A final debate is scheduled for Sept. 3.
