On Thursday, Palestinian Authority residents will be observing the Nakba, the Disaster, referring to the creation of the State of Israel.

Parades will be held and violence is expected following a number of clashes on Wednesday. At the Kalandia Checkpoint bordering northern Jerusalem, security forces on Wednesday were compelled to use teargas and force to disperse the violent Arab protestors.

Hamas led demonstrations in Gaza, with Mahmoud a-Zahar stating ”US President George W. Bush came to Israel to celebrate our bloodshed and loss of rights.”
