Rav Mordechai [Tzemach ben Mazel Tov] Eliyahu Shlita was readmitted to Shaare Tzedek Medical Center in Yerushalayim on Tuesday night after complaining of pain.

The former chief rabbi was admitted to the cardiac department, from which he was discharged a number of days earlier after suffering a major cardiac infarction (heart attack) a number of weeks ago.

Doctors report the Rav did not sustain another heart attack, adding he remains under observation at this time.
