Chareidi lawmakers were angered to learn that the Ministry of Health on Shabbos, 11 Elul 5773 released a non-urgent media release which was embargoed until Sunday morning. HaMevaser contacted the ministry for a response, pointing out that there was no cause for violating Shabbos since the notification was not urgent, adding that it was embargoed from publication until Sunday, making the situation even worse.

It would appear that with Yesh Atid’s Yael German running the ministry, the long-standing policy of government ministries not violating Shabbos in cases that are not urgent is a thing of the past.
