True, but they where already barricaded in the store when the police came. You can certainly argue that had the cashier/customer been armed and immediately confronted the shooters the outcome in Jersey City could have been more like Texas.

I don’t think any rational person is arguing that a schizophrenic with a criminal record should legally be allowed to own a gun.
