Two female Israelis, students, who were reported missing in China following the powerful earthquake, Mayna Segev and Anat Bilu, are reported by Israel Foreign Ministry officials on Wednesday morning to have sustained only light injuries. They were traveling in the Sichuan Province.

Efforts are underway to extricate the women from the disaster area according to the Wednesday morning report.

Meanwhile, the state-run news agency Xinhua reported the death toll at more than 12,100 before Tuesday’s latest reports, with more than 26,000 injured, 7,800 missing and more than 9,400 trapped beneath debris.
