An administrative closure order for 30 days was issued to a construction manpower company responsible for constructing two buildings in the Ramat Shlomo neighborhood of Jerusalem.
The order was issued to the company which employees PA (Palestinian Authority) residents working illegally, and police view this as a most severe offense since companies ignoring the law exacerbate ongoing efforts to eliminate illegals inside ‘Green Line’ Israel. In addition to ignoring the law, security officials point out employing illegals provides them (the illegals) with a platform to launch terrorist attacks.
On December 19, 2019, police checking a construction site in Ramat Shlomo found five PA illegals employed by the company. The closure order was issued to company officials over the weekend, shutting down operations for 30 days.
Police report they will continue responding with the full strength of the law against anyone and everyone employing illegals, citing they also place others around them in increasing danger by doing so.
