Shula Katz, HY”D, 70, a resident of Kibbutz Gvaram, was identified as the victim in Monday’s fatal rocket attack in Yesha, located in the Eshkol Regional Council.

Katz is survived by her four children, five grandchildren, and her 90-year-old mother. She was a widow.

Ironically, she was supposed to meet with a family member visiting from the United States in Gvaram but they decided to move it to Yesha after learning of a rocket attack in the morning which was too close for comfort to Gvaram.

Shula was standing in the yard of a home when the Red Alert sounded, signaling an incoming rocket, but she did not have time to run for cover.

Funeral arrangements to be announced.
