Three days following the arrests of six members from the Berland Shuvu Banim cult, police on Thursday announced making another arrest. They are requesting to hold him without bail for eight days at his arraignment hearing.
Police are continuing the investigation into fraud, money laundering and other White Collar crimes in connection with funding for the Shuvu Banim organizations.
Five suspects were taken for a remand hearing on Thursday morning in the Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court. Police requested to continue holding them without bail for an additional eight days. One of the fears is that if released, the suspects will interfere in the ongoing investigation.
At present, police report a total of seven suspects are incarcerated in the case.

What makes them a “cult”? Being as the Oxford dictionary defines “cult” as “a relatively small group of people having religious beliefs or practices regarded by others as strange or sinister” so shouldn’t Judaism also be considered a cult? We are a “small group of people” whose “religious beliefs or practices regarded by others as strange or sinister” (for example waving chickens around our heads Erev the holiest day in the Jewish year). Nu nu, they have different minhagim than us, so as long as their stringencies don’t interfere with our religion, let them be in peace.

A cult describes an environment in which vulnerable individuals are abused/manipulated & otherwise harmed by one or more leaders through fear, intimidation & threats.
I suppose you think Berland sexually abusing women followers is just different minhagim? How about his thugs beating up people who don’t want him in their neighborhood? That’s a minhag as well?
