A fire burning out of control on Thursday morning compelled the evacuation of homes in the northern border community of Shlomi. A frontal command post was set up as the fire continued spreading, with the fire commander ordering the evacuation of the frontline homes.
Incident Commander Gil Barsanu of the Zevulun Station warned the fire, which was not out of control, was posing a danger to Shlomi.
The blaze has still not been declared ‘under control’. 13 fire units continue to battle the blaze.
