A New Bridge Is Planned From Bnei Brak To Petach Tikvah

Petach Tikvah’s mayor is working to assist residents of Bnei Brak, planning to establish a new pedestrian bridge to connect between the cities- between the light rail station and the Kiryat Aryeh industrial park in western Petach Tikvah.

The Neta Company brought the plan to Petach Tikvah Mayor Rami Greenberg, to connect the communities to permit pedestrians and bikers to arrive safely and easily reach the Kiryat Aryeh industrial area.

The bridge would be part of the construction of the Red Line of the light rail, which includes 31 stations, including 8 in Petach Tikvah. In addition, the bridge would be a condition of the opening of the ‘Em HaMoshavot’ station. Work is expected to begin on the bridge in June 2020.

According to the plan, the bridge would pass over Route 4 and it would be 117.8 meters (yards) long by eight meters wide, providing a lane for pedestrians and another for bicycles, 3.3 meters for each. There will be steps, ramps and an elevator to access the bridge.
