Indictments were handed down in the Jerusalem District Court on Thursday, November 14, 2019, against three Arab residents of the capital, ages 15-17, for attacking a chareidi man who was walking to Kever Shimon HaTzaddik on November 2, 2019 as well as three other chareidim.
The indictment explains the three saw the victim heading to the tziyun complex, seeing his chareidi garb, deciding to attack a Jew. One of them threw a block at the victim as he crossed the street, from a distance of about 10 meters (yards). The intended target jumped to avoid being struck in the leg and then tried to flee the area, heading towards the tziyun.
The attackers picked up the block and another rock and they threw them at the intended victim again. Three persons exited the tziyun a few minutes later, one an older chareidi. The attackers realized they too are chareidi and picked up stones and began hurling them at the three as well. They all ran for cover in the tziyun.
A police car arrested the three a few minutes later. Their identities may not be published as they are minors.
