With the camp season winding down in Israel, many families are heading for the airport to begin their family vacation abroad. Officials at Ben-Gurion International Airport report that no less than 68,350 passengers will be passing through the airport on Thursday 25 Menachem Av 5773.
During the month of July, 1,504,662 passengers passed through the airport, representing a 6.6% increase from July 2012. There were 10,734 flights, an 8.5% increase from last summer.
Israelis in the month of July flew to many destinations. Leading the list was the United States, followed by Greece and Turkey. Fewer Israelis flew to France, Germany and Italy.
