A 17-year-old chareidi youth who was manhandled by police is going to receive NIS 17,000 in compensation from the department after attorney Itamar Ben-Gvir took the department to court, charging police with unjustifiable physical force and abuse as seen in the accompanying video.
The Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court announced its ruling in the case of in which Ben-Gvir represents the youth, who was pushed and shoved repeatedly without justification by police, and then choked, during a protest in Bnei Brak.
On November 20, 2017, there was a chareidi protest in Bnei Brak and police approached the youth who was standing near the event and began shoving him between one another. As seen in the video, which was aired in court, the youth was unnecessarily roughed up and physically manhandled by police.
The lawsuit was filed against police by Ben-Gvir and the court awarded him NIS 17,000.

More importantly why weren’t the cops arrested and charged? A few of them going to jail with loss of job and pension would put a quick end to this outrageous behavior

What full story, look at the video. The bochur is thrown by 1 cop, and collides with a second cop, who then turns around, puts both his hands around the bochurs throat, and violently shakes him back and forth. Is there any part of the story missing that can change a verdict of complete and utter senseless brutality?
Mind you, HOW FRIKIN OLD IS THE KID? Is it ok to attack a minor even IF he was breaking the law?
If I would be screamed at “Nazi” continously, I’d give big zetzes to these people as well. Police are human, it’s disgusting to scream “Nazi”. It’s even stupider to expect them not to react. Try that on a policeman in the US and see what reaction you get.
Again, I’m not sure what the backstory is, maybe these Chareidim have a right to protest, but screaming “Nazi” at police will get you a brutal reaction.
