There is also the undertone of עסקנות and אחריות which you have in EY. There are demos and protests etc. Not so here. Years ago there were while the תלמידים of Reb Reuven and Rav Schorr himself would make public מחאות. Young people learn the public aspects of Torah in EY davka.
