Moving to Florida is an option that I am considering. In addition to the high taxes of NYC, the quality of life is declining thanks to our idiot mayor. Without serious change crime and quality of life will plummet back to the levels in the 80’s. Hate crimes against Jews are at a record high (another few yesterday https://www.theyeshivaworld.com/news/featured/1796784/hate-in-boro-park-numerous-hasidic-jews-attacked-on-friday-night-expect-a-deblasio-tweet-and-nothing-else.html) and the Mayor doesn’t care. All he cares about is pandering to minorities so he can appear “woke” and continue his socialist agenda of “making NYC Fair.” I hope Chasidish communities don’t continue to endorse him (but i’m won’t holding my breath.) Why anyone would settle in Flatbush/BP long-term is beyond me. The frum areas in Florida have shuls, yeshivos, restaurants, supermarkets and all the other amenities that a fum community needs. There is no state income tax, the economy is growing and its a conservative leaning state- all pluses in my book.
