More than 50,000 runners are expected to take part in the world’s largest marathon — the TCS New York City Marathon — on Sunday, Nov. 3, with runners gathering in the Fort Wadsworth staging area in the early morning.

The Verrazano bridge will be completely closed to all traffic on Sunday, from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., for the race.

On Saturday, the upper level will be closed in both directions at 11 p.m. to prepare for the event.

The Bay Street and Lily Pond Avenue exits of the Staten Island Expressway will be closed on Sunday from 3 a.m. to approximately 3 p.m.
