A criminal indictment has been handed down against a 48-year-old suspect in Jerusalem who was arrested a week ago on suspicion of attacking and abusing an 89-year-old woman R”L, leaving her injured and as a result, she had to be placed in a nursing home. The Palestinian attacker was arrested and held without bail.

The attacker was apprehended by police on the same day of the attack, when he allegedly targeted an elderly defenseless woman. The Jerusalem’s Magistrate’s Court did not order his detention, but that order was reversed by the Jerusalem District Court on appeal.
