Once again, authorities apprehended a man trying to smuggle a smartphone into a terrorist imprisoned in Israel. A 54-year-old suspect was taken into custody with the phones and prepaid calling cards.
There was another incident, on October 24, 2019 as reported, when eight smartphones and dozens of SIM cards were intercepted as imprisoned terrorists continue efforts to get hold of phones, which enable them to continue their terrorist activities in prison.
For the Israel Prison Authority, preventing such smuggling attempts is part of the ongoing challenges facing the force on a regular basis.
