Once again, aveilus in the Torah world following the petira of HaGaon HaRav Shlomo Zalman Ulman ZT”L, Av Beis Din Modi’in Illit. The rav was 73.

HaGaon Rav Ulman served as the Av Beis Din in the chareidi city since its inception. In addition, he served as a dayan of Chug Chassam Sofer Zichron Meir, Bnei Brak. The rav was also Rosh Kollel Satmar in the city, a position he accepted following instruction from the Steipler Gaon ZT”L ZY”A.

The rav collapsed this past Av and has been hospitalized since. The rav was niftar during the night. The levaya is scheduled to begin at 1:00PM in Beis Medrash Chug Chassam Sofer in Bnei Brak located at 27 Admor M’Gur Street, and from there the procession will continue to the Zichron Meir Cemetery for kvura.
