Using his Facebook page to get the message out to the world, outgoing UK Chief Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sachs sent his best wishes to the new Chief Rabbis of Israel.
“I send warmest congratulations to the new Chief Rabbi’s of Israel, Rabbi David Lau and Rabbi Yitzhak Yosef. They bring with them both parental influence and their own distinguished qualities. They represent both continuity and a willingness to engage with the challenges of today and we in the British Rabbinate offer them our congratulations and blessings.”
