A New York City jury has decided that a man convicted of killing two police officers should get the death penalty.
The decision was reached Wednesday in the penalty phase of Ronell Wilson’s trial.
Wilson was charged with shooting the victims during a botched illegal gun sting.
A jury convicted him in 2006, then sentenced him to death in early 2007. But an appeals court overturned the sentence.
Prosecutors opted to seek the death penalty from a new jury.
Prosecutors argued that Wilson was a cold-blooded killer who deserved death. His lawyers portrayed him as the product of a troubled background.

It doesn’t matter because Judith Kaye was a misguided leading judge who killed the death penalty in New York.
As Rabbi Miller z”l said the judges letting the murderers go free are guilty of increasing the illegal murders in New York.

NYers support the death penalty. The NYS legislature enacted a death penalty law. But the activist ultra-liberal court legislating from the bench making up invented constitutional imaginations overturned the law the people’s representatives implemented.
Professor Moose613: the libtards in ny abolished the death penalty in 2004. Don’t worry, this animal will be getting 3 squares a day while the lawyers at the ACLjew work hard to get this overturned.
