Nina Gisdenanovan, HY”D, a 74-year resident of Ashkelon who was critically wounded by rocket fire from Gaza last year, died at a rehabilitation center in Tel Aviv late last week.
A rocket from Gaza landed directly on Gisdenanovan’s building in Ashkelon in November 2018, where she lived on the first floor. She was evacuated to Sheba hospital in Tel Hashomer and has been in a coma ever since.
The rocket attack also killed an Arab worker, a resident of a village near Chevron, and seriously wounded his wife.
“To my sorrow, we lost another resident in the never-ending war against Gaza terror organizations,” Ashkelon mayor Tomer Glam said. “I hope she will be the last victim. The municipality will continue assisting the family and provide them with everything they need at this difficult time.”
