Negotiations For National Government Underway – Likud Offers Blue and White Extended Term of Prime Ministership

According to reports in the Israeli media, the Likud party has offered the Blue and White party an extended period to hold the position of Prime Minister, assuming that Benny Gantz and Yair Lapid’s party allow Prime Minister Netanyahu to sit as Prime Minister first.

Channel 13 News reported that an offer was made that was aimed at softening Gantz’s opposition to the Likud’s premier unity government.

According to the proposal, which was tabled at Netanyahu and Gantz’s meeting on Monday as well as at Tuesday’s meeting between the negotiating teams, Blue and White will waive the requirement to be prime minister first – and in return they will receive an extended-term that may extend up to three years, while Netanyahu, who will serve first as prime minister, will settle for a short term, maybe even just one year.

Blue and White also issued demands in order to arrive at a Unity Government. These include passing the Draft Law as is, allowing public transportation on Shabbos, allowing a multi-denominational joint prayer section at the Kotel, retracting the “Makolet Law”, creating a law that allows for civil marriage, creating a law that limits the amount of terms a Prime Minister can sit and other addendum to laws focusing on Religion and Society.

  1. So, Bibi loses sleep over International politics and security for the people of Israel.
BnW are totally concerned with eradicating all vestiges of religion (only Judaism – Islam and Christianity can flourish as far as they are concerned) which in itself endangers the citizens of Israel. Its quite shocking that almost half the population voted for these anti-semites. That is the direct result of the Anti-Torah education that the secular schools have been drilling into another generation of Yiddishe Neshamos.

  2. Are these conditions considered a “Jewish State” for which thousands had to give up their lives in wars and terror attacks?
