MK Uri Maklev was touring the northern city of Nof HaGalil – Har Yonah (formerly Upper Nazareth) when his car was hit by a taxi. Maklev’s staffers exited the car and began taking the driver’s information and a small argument broke out. Then Maklev himself got out of the car and the woman driver of the taxi recognized him and asked him if he an MK with UTJ.
Maklev responded in the affirmative to which the driver replied: “You won’t believe it, but in the recent election I decided to vote for UTJ due to the blessed work that your party does for those with lesser means in society. Maklev was moved by her speech and told her that she can continue on her way without exchanging details or information with her, thus letting her off the hook for paying for the damage to his car.
A spokesperson for Maklev said: “The cost of fixing the car will come from Maklev himself and not from the taxpayers. Anyone who knows Uri Maklev knows that he upholds the idea that one must treat every penny like they would $100”

Of course she said that.!
Nice of Maklev to let her go, though from the picture it seems there’s hardly a scratch.
