Minister of Education (Bayit Yehudi) Rabbi Rafi Peretz lives in Yishuv N’vei, a dati leumi community. To the surprise of many, more people in the minister’s home community voted for Yahadut Hatorah than for Yemina, the combined list including Bayit Yehudi.
According to Central Election Committee figures, 125 people voted ‘Gimmel’, for Yahadut Hatorah, while only 97 voted for Yemina. 35 voted for Otzma Yehudit and 6 for Shas while only 3 voted Likud.
For comparison sake, in the April 2019 election for 21st Knesset, 243 voted for Bayit Yehudi, which was headed by Peretz, who held the second slot of the combined Yemina list. The combined list was head by Ayelet Shaked and many rabbonim in the dati leumi chareidi community announced one may not vote for a list headed by a non-religious person.
In the April election, Yahadut Hatorah only received 17 votes and the New Right party, then headed by Naftali Bennet, received 5 votes. In the previous election, Likud received 5 votes and Zehut, headed by Moshe Feiglin, 3 votes. Shas received a single vote.

He doesn’t live in Yishuv N’vei (which doesnt exist), he lives in Naveh (נָוֶה). Like Rabbi Peretz himself, the town has a strong religious character.
problem is that Shaked, popular as she is, and Bennett are not much religious….
garlic, since when is Bennett not religious?
