Boro Park Shomrim hosted an impressive lineup of NYPD brass at their headquarters, Wednesday afternoon.
The meeting focused on the recent spike in hate crimes, general crime prevention, and continuing the incredible working relationship that Shomrim already has for decades with the NYPD.
Every Precinct Commander in Brooklyn South was in attendance, as well as the Counterterrorism Unit, SRG, and NYPD Deputy Chief Charles Scholl.
Boro Park Shomrim responds to dozens of hotline calls each day, and is responsible for dozens of arrests each month. They work closely with their sister-organizations, the Shomrim Organizations in Flatbush, Crown heights, Williamsburg, Staten Island and Far Rockaway. Each night, selfless volunteers patrol their neighborhoods ensuring that criminals are arrested by the NYPD, and keeping crime down in their communities.
YWN spoke with Chief Scholl who had nothing but praise for the hard work that Shomrim do, and said he wished them a Happy New Year and a safe Holiday season.
