An NYPD Officer was shot in Staten Island on Tuesday morning.

It happened at around 8:45AM at Vanderblit Ave near Prince Street.

The officer was rushed by a police car to a local hospital. She was in stable condition.

The suspect, who was also shot, is dead, multiple law enforcement sources confirm to YWN.

The officer, who was wounded in the wrist, was following up on a domestic violence report when gunfire broke out.
