Chairman of Central Elections Committee Won’t Meet with Netanyahu

Using Twitter to get his message out, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu questions how it is that the state spends NIS 250 million to investigate him, sending investigators to the Philippines, while 82 problematic ballot boxes were reported by Likud in the last election, which led to the New Right party not getting into Knesset and the inability of the prime minister to form a coalition. Despite this, 80 of the 82 were not investigated at all.

PM Netanyahu requested an urgent meeting on the matter with the chairman of the Central Elections Committee, Justice Chanan Meltzer, before elections, but the request was denied. Netanyahu is seeking an explanation for the nonfeasance of officials, concerned ahead of the upcoming election race for 22nd Knesset, that the same may occur to the right-wing again.
