A TGI survey released on Sunday, 14 Menachem Av 5773 shows that Kol Berama remains ahead as the leading chareidi radio station with 5.6% exposure in the first half of 2013, an increase from 5.2% in the last half of 2012. More dramatic is Kol Chai Radio’s decline from 5.6% in the second half of 2012 to 4.4% of the listening market in the first half of 2013.
Galei Yisrael Radio, which is affiliated with the dati leumi right-wing community dropped in the rankings as well from 1.4% in the second half of 2012 to 1.2% in the first half of 2013.
The stations mentioned above are viewed as regional stations. In the listings of nationwide stations, Israel Radio’s Reshet Bet suffered the most significant loss with almost a 15% decline. All of the Israel Radio stations earn it a 34.6% share of the listening market.
The poll included Jewish residents 18+ representing a population of four million. The annual survey has been conducted since 1998.
