Benny Begin: I Will Not be Voting Likud in the Upcoming Election

Former Likud party minister Dr. Benny Begin, son of the late prime minister, Menachem Begin, has announced to the public that he does not plan to vote for Likud in the upcoming election. “It appears to me that the Likud leadership is making a serious effort to prevent me from voting for Likud” stated Begin.

Begin, a veteran member of Likud, announced on Monday morning that he has no intentions of voting Likud in the upcoming election, which is scheduled to be held on Tuesday, September 17, 2019. Begin explains he cannot vote Likud for as long as the party is promoting the Camera Bill, to place cameras in polling stations despite objections from Attorney General Avichai Mandelblit.

Speaking to Galei Tzahal (Army Radio), Begin said, “The attorney general, there is legal tradition, and the government is subject to constitutional advice. The phenomenon of disobeying the court’s advice is a serious phenomenon.

The son of the late prime minister and Likud leader had harsh words of criticism for today’s Likud leaders, blaming them for “making a serious effort to prevent me from voting for Likud. I won’t vote for Likud. There is a price for arrogant and conceited behavior” he added.
